Dr. Johnson's approach.
Dr. Johnson bought the practice because he wanted to build a place where patients could be treated the way he'd treat his own family: informed, unhurried, and respected at every step. That founding instinct has shaped every operational decision since.
He believes that good dentistry starts with listening. Before any recommendation is made, Dr. Johnson takes the time to understand each patient's concerns, history, and goals. No one leaves without knowing exactly what was found, what it means, and what their options are.
The environment at TJ Family & Implant Dentistry reflects that same philosophy. It's a small, consistent team, familiar faces at every visit, and a pace that never makes patients feel like they're being rushed through. Dr. Johnson is present and hands-on at every step, because that's the standard he holds himself to.
About Dr. Johnson
Dr. Johnson grew up in nearby Huntsville, Texas, and earned his undergraduate degree in computing science from Sam Houston State University before attending the University of Texas School of Dentistry in Houston and earning his Doctor of Dental Surgery degree in 2013.
He then furthered his training at the University of Tennessee Graduate School of Medicine Knoxville, working in a private practice affiliated with the university hospital. He greatly expanded on his expertise during the year-long residency.
In his free time, Dr. Johnson enjoys swimming, watching movies, building computers, reading, and spending time with his family, including his cat! He is also an Eagle Scout and has occasionally served in adult leadership positions and taught various merit badges.
